Voicing creative expressions on the relevance of Constitution in the lives of Indians

 

Celebrating 75 years of the Indian Constitution, National Foundation for India (NFI) as part of its year-long campaign Samvidhan Se Hum (संविधान से हम), is inviting creative expressions on the relevance of Indian Constitution in your lives, through brief videos. The Indian Constitution forms the foundation of the strong democracy, which India is today. Equal, just, fair, and alike for all the Indians, the Constitution silently guides our lives towards realizing our potentials. 
 
NFI invites you to take up this occasion, to reflect, reconnect and realize the value and relevance of the Indian Constitution in your own life. The idea is to initiate a conversation around the Constitution and what it entails for us in our day-to-day lives. The contest invites a 58 second video, creatively expressing what the Constitution means to you as a citizen of the country. The brief video can include your opinion and idea of the Indian Constitution, what it means to you in your life, how do you associate with it and how it is relevant to you! We hope, these reflections come together to add on to the bigger picture of strengthening the ever-growing democracy of India. 
 
We the people of India, let us all come together, in shaping, building and enhancing our country as envisioned by its pioneers.
 
How to Apply:

  • Record a 58 second video exploring the significance of the Indian Constitution in your personal life.

  • Upload it on any digital platform including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc., and copy the link of the video.

  • Click on the Apply button at the bottom of this page.

  • Fill out the application form and paste the link of your submission video in the application form.

  • Click on Submit.

 
Video Submission Guidelines:

  • The video should not exceed the time limit of 58 seconds.

  • Shoot your video in portrait mode, the resolution of which should be 1920X1080.

  • Participants above 10 years of age can apply.

  • To promote linguistic diversity and inclusivity, the video can be in any one of the scheduled languages of the Constitution.

  • Please refrain from making submissions if the contestant is younger than 10 years of age. 

  • The link that you generate must be accessible. It must not be private or hidden from the NFI.

  • Please ensure that the video link does not expire until the competition (April 14, 2024).

 

The contest will be live from 26th January 2024 to 15th March 2024. Please ensure your entry reaches us before the deadline i.e. on March 15, 2024, by midnight.

 Prizes, Recognition and Results:
  • A cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- will be awarded to the first winner, Rs. 20,000/- to the second winner and Rs. 15,000/- to the third
  • A certificate of recognition will be awarded to the winners, acknowledging their outstanding contribution to the theme.
  • In addition to the prizes, there will be one special mention in each scheduled language category. The special mention entries will be awarded with a certificate recognizing their contribution to the theme and their language.

Judgment Criteria and Process:

An internal panel of the NFI will evaluate your videos based on creativity, production quality, content relevance, and factual accuracy, all within the context of the theme - Constitution in My Life - मेरे जीवन में संविधान
 
The judgement criteria account for 50% content significance and 50% production quality.  Judges will consider how effectively the message is delivered and its impact on highlighting the role of the constitution in daily life.  Winners will be individually notified, and the results will be publicized on our official social media platforms, emphasizing the celebration of the Constitution's role in shaping individual narratives.
