Eligibility and Application Process


Who is eligible to attend the Conclave? 

Youth Leaders from across the 8 Northeast states between the age of 22 to 27 years who have worked on or are interested in the subject of Sustainable Development Goals.

How and where can I apply? 

We accept applications only through the prescribed application form given on the website https://nfi.org.in/leaving-no-one-behind. The deadline for application is 5 th October 2023 midnight. No applications will be considered beyond that. Follow the instructions provided, which include submitting an online application form and any supporting documents requested. Click here to APPLY

What will be the selection criteria for delegates? 

The selection of delegates will be based on various factors, including age eligibility, interest in sustainable development goals, leadership potential, community engagement, and communication skills. The organizers will make personal calls to every applicant as a process of selection. The organizers will evaluate applications against these criteria to ensure a diverse and qualified group of participants. 

When will I know if my application has been accepted? 

The organizers will notify selected delegates via email and through phone calls. Please ensure that the contact information provided in your application is accurate and regularly check your email for updates. For confirming submission, applicants will receive an auto computer generated email.    


Logistics 

What will be covered under this fully paid event?

Travel, Accommodation, food, and event materials as mentioned below:

  • Accommodation during the event days
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) are arranged by the organizer during the event.
  • Event Materials.
  • Any merchandise deemed necessary.
  • Costs incurred outside the venue of the event will not be included in the sponsorship deal. 
 

Will the travel expenses be covered by the organizers?

The organizers will cover travel expenses only from the North East state capitals (Itanagar, Shillong, Aizawl, Imphal, Gangtok, Agartala, Guwahati/Tezpur) or from the available customary direct route and usual mode of transport as determined by the organizers by which the candidate will reach the venue at the earliest. The logistics team and the official travel agent will inform all participants of their travel arrangements.

Can I arrange my own accommodation?

No. Delegates are expected to stay in the accommodation arranged by the organizers. It is an in-house event. Delegates must be always present inside the venue on both days of the event. 

Can I arrange my own travel and get it reimbursed?

Yes, participants can travel on their own provided the participants produce an authentic original invoice/bill from the public transport/ vehicle pooling vendors.


Event Dates

When are the Conclave dates?

The Conclave dates are on the 7 th and 8 th November 2023. Delegates are expected to attend all the event sessions. Delegates will arrive in Kohima by 6 th November evening and depart on the 9 th morning. Accommodation is provided for 6th, 7th and 8 th November. 

What should I bring with me to the event?

Once selected, you will receive a detailed participant package containing information on what to bring, including identification documents, necessary materials for the event sessions, and any specific items recommended by the organizers. It is important to read and follow the instructions provided in the participant package. 

Will there be any networking or social activities during the event?

Yes, the event will include networking sessions, group activities, and opportunities for participants to interact and learn from each other. These activities aim to foster a sense of community and provide networking opportunities among delegates.

Will I receive a certificate of participation?

Yes, delegates who successfully complete the event will be awarded a certificate of participation. The certificates will be provided during the closing ceremony of the event. 

How can I stay updated on the event's agenda and any changes?

The organizers will provide a detailed agenda prior to the event. Please regularly check your email and the event's official communication channels, such as the NFI’s website and social media platforms,for any updates or changes to the schedule.
