It was founded in 1992 by eminent leaders such as Bharat Ratna C. Subramanium, Bharat Ratna Dr M S Swaminathan and Dr Kamla Chaudhary.
 
Position Summary
 
Communications and Public Engagements (C&PE) Lead will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and managing all communications and public engagement programmes to enhance and demonstrate the brand of NFI. The role will also have the primary responsibility for managing the Communications and Public Engagements team, delivering the plans and commitments of NFI. Along with working with the partner organisations (CSOs) supported by NFI across regions, for addressing their communication needs and building their capacities.
 
Eligibility Criteria

  • Strong understanding of new media ecosystem, digital marketing/campaigns/production of documents, reports for internal and external circulation. 

  • Strong commitment to social justice, constitutional values and gender justice.

  • Proven experience of minimum 12-15 years, in campaigning and online community management, including people management skills.

  • Experience in social media and multi-media content development and supervision with knowledge of various tools and platforms, including those used for fund raising and resource mobilisation (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp and Hootsuite, etc.).

  • Strong writing, verbal and editing skills, with experience creating content for various mediums. Experience managing websites and social media channels.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Communications and Public Engagement team.

  • Building the brand for NFI through all communications products and public engagement across a variety of stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage high level communications and engagement programmes to enhance and demonstrate the brand of NFI.

  • End to end execution of event, projects and campaigns, including building digital strategy in various media and analysis of impact execution of Social Media Marketing, Email campaigns, increase in applications on a regular basis.

  • Actively drive NFI’s website(s) strategy, design and development, website maintenance including value ads like database management & community building. Ensure keyword optimization to increase website traffic.

  • Continuously monitoring the communication landscape, both internally and externally, to ensure the organization stays ahead of the curve in terms of communication trends and best practices. Track and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.

  • Supervise, train and mentor team members, NFI staff and partners to accelerate and optimise the communication and public engagement functions.  

  • Support the Executive Director and the Programme Director in the strategic and operational planning, implementation, evaluation, continuous improvement and budgeting for NFI’s core communications strategy and functions.

  • Any other task assigned by the Program Director.

Compensation
 
Annual renumeration up to INR13,00,000 - INR15,00,000 (inclusive of applicable taxes) based on experience. Travelling expenses related to project will be borne by the organisation.
 
Contract Period
 
Full-time consultant (renewable annually)
