Carm-Daksh :- Carm-Daksh (Chhattisgarh) is a partner of NFI since 2006 through our institution building grant support. It has been working primarily on agriculture based livelihoods through SHG as central community institutions. Carmdaksh has been able to expand its work to Bilaspur and Korba districts and strengthening agriculture and livelihoods of the poor through enhancing paddy production, vegetable cultivation and commercial poultry farming with more than 2000 producers.
NERSWN :- NERSWN which is based in Kokrajhar, Assam has initiated livelihood promotion for internally displaced communities who were affected by 1996, 1998 riot and have stayed in rehabilitation camps for more than a decade without a stable source of income. NERSWN is supporting more than 500 households to take up agriculture and allied activities as source of livelihoods to provide additional income and reduce risk and vulnerability due to internal conflict.
Mahila Shakti Kendra :- Mahila Shakti Kendra is working in Sonitpur, Assam with an aim to provide various knowledge, skills and opportunities to the marginalized women to generate income for their livelihoods. With NFI’s support, MASK is working with more than 700 households to provide sustainable livelihoods through promoting agriculture and allied (pig-rearing) activities.
Gramya Vikas Manch :- Gramya Vikas Manch is based at Nalbari, Assam and working towards promoting social empowerment and livelihoods of ST, Sc and OBC. As part of livelihood promotion, NFI is supporting GVM to provide incremental income to 700 small and marginal producers through agriculture and allied activities.
SACAL :- SACAL is working with predominantly Saura tribes based in Gajapati district of Odisha. NFI is supporting SACAL to enhance food and nutritional security as well as provide additional income to more than 1000 poor farmers through enhancing production of paddy, millets, vegetables and livestock.
VIEWS :- VIEWS is working towards bringing significant changes in the sustainable livelihoods security, children’s education and youth empowerment among fisher folk, dalits, tribal and other backward communities in the remote villages of Ganjam and Gajapati districts of Odisha. NFI is supporting VIEWS to intensively engage with more than 600 households from poor and marginal communities to increase the income by at least 20% in 3 years of time.
NIRMAN :- NIRMAN is our Odisha partner since 2013, works with ST and SC farming communities to provide food and nutritional security, enhance income and preserve biodiversity. The work is concentrated in southern part of Odisha. Through NFI’s support, they are engaging with more than 700 households to ensure food security, provide additional income and nutrition to small and marginal families.
Health and Development Initiative :- Health and Development Initiative which is based in Odisha is engaged with more than 1200 tribal households by providing better remuneration and creating market linkages for medicinal herbs produced in hills of Deogharh. It has been working on collection and processing of medicinal herbs, and providing marketing linkages by trying to link to establish brands like Khadi and Dabur and selling in various exhibitions through establishing village level community organisation.
Patang :- Patang is a youth-led organisation, based at Sambalpur, Odisha working towards building youth perspective. NFI roped in Patang to build youth perspective among livelihood and other similar intervention. The project is supported to understand the gaps and challenges in engaging with youth and to sensitize them towards youth development and incorporate youth components while designing projects.
Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion :- Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion extending supports to youth from SC communities, residing in Baljeet Nagar and Vasant Vihar slum for better access to information of skill training and employability through formation of Youth Tech Hubs. YTH which will create awareness towards education and better livelihoods and facilitates linkages with available Government and private schemes.
