Library and Documentation Center

NFI’s Library and Documentation Centre provides support to NFI’s staff to build knowledge on NFI’s thematic areas:

1. Citizens and Society
2. Community Health
3. Development Journalism
4. Elementary Education
5. Livelihood Security
6. Peace and Justice
7. Local Governance.

The center is newly built, and modest in size and collection. We have around 2000 books, which are strictly focused on the seven thematic areas of the organization. We get six English and two Hindi newspapers, and also subscribe to 15 Journals and magazines.

The documentation is fully computerized on Winisis (library software developed by UNESCO). We are a member of Delnet (Developing Library Network), where we borrow books from 750 libraries all over India and also share our collection with other libraries.

Though the center’s primary purpose is to serve the staff of the organization, we would be happy to try and help researchers working on any of the thematic areas of the organizations. Please direct any queries concerning book donations or access to Maisra Malik.:
